Sarajevo: Divine up-cycled lamps: OSA

Kada opisuju proces dizajna sve zvuči idilično i vema inetersantno.

Unusual, unique and completely innovative, OSA lamps from recycled materials are formed as a result of the creativity by skilled architects Zulejha Zatrić and Asmir Sabić. The best in these products is the unpredictable inspiration which OSA is looking for at flea markets, waste yards and local markets.

In an interview, OSA says: ‘transformable power of lights encouraged us to think about upgraded living spaces. Residential areas and other spaces are mostly equipped with general illumination, which in many situations is not sufficient to create the atmosphere you want. So, the lamp is in some way ‘mobile manufacturer of atmosphere’ and that is why we like them so much.

When describing the design process all sounds idyllic and extremely interesting. Freehand sketches are the first and the most important thing, and when it is being upgraded and developed until perfection. The elements used for construction are almost always previously used for other purposes. Once it is light, once the holder of forks and knives, a box of sugar, etc. Restoration, reparation, painting and ‘final touch’ are only one of several strings from preliminary to final production.

Indeed, very inspired, active and eager for new interesting products Zulejha and Asmir create divine products from something that already went through one life cycle and was rejected…
