Manhattan: “Fun and Vibrant” workspace of LinkedIn

International Company, called Interior Architects was asked to create a workspace at the highest level of the popular Empire State Building for the worldwide famous LinkedIn network.

As designer said: ‘LinkedIn asked for personalized space, with  informal lounge and collaborative spaces, a caffe, a fitness room, and better circulation paths to separate work areas.’ The most interesting space is the ‘hidden room’ which is placed behind the wall covered with 133 rotary telephones.

Formal meeting rooms are fronted by glazed walls and decorated with photographs of New York alleyways. Workspaces on the 28th floor are populated with clusters of height-adjustable desks in the western and northern portions. A long the corridor there are framed black and white pictures of employees and pets. Colour schemes create space in grey, light blue and white tones, but there is also a different one – the red colour in the completely informal meeting area.
